How long will it last? If we're talking about your favorite pair of jeans, maybe 4 or 5 years, depending on how many washings they undergo. A favorite pair of shoes, maybe 6 years, if they have a good heel. A good car, in today's economy 5 years , maybe 10 if you're faithful with regular maintenance.
When I was a child, I thought an all-day candy pop should last all day. Mine never did. Sunday sermons and green pea soup on the other hand seemed to last an eternity. In my twenties, I met the man of my dreams, thinking our love would last forever. Unfortunately to my great dismay, it didn't last.
I guess I've always been partial to things with staying power. A good book can be read and re-read. Good upbringing seems to stick with you and true friendships can last a lifetime.
When I began my video-business, it was with a heartfelt desire to help people "preserve precious memories." Our lives are but a vapor in time. Our memories bring great meaning to our lives and can sustain one thru the hard times and increase one's joy during the good times.
